Introduction
The Wii Console is a cutting-edge piece of technology in the video game world. The
console, originally named the “Revolution”, was renamed the “Wii” because the Wii
sounds like “we” which makes it a multiplayer oriented system. The system has four
wireless controllers with gyroscope technology. Gyroscope technology is a fancy name
for motion sensor technology. There has never been a video game console that has used
motion-sensor technology. This system enables the user to actually act out the moves in
the game. For example, in a sword-fighting game the user swings the controller as if they
were swinging the sword. With this type of game-play, the user can really get into the
game, especially competitively. Another distinguishing feature of the Wii is that it has
wireless internet, because it has a wireless chip. In addition, the Wii can connect to the
internet and download old Nintendo games as well as surf the internet on the Wii
