Using Five9 with Microsoft Vista
Overview
New security features and other enhancements in Microsoft Vista OS could affect the
functionality of Five9 applications which include the downloading process and installation.
Since the Five9 set of applications are currently supported on other Microsoft Windows OS,
compatibility tests were conducted to ensure proper operation with Vista.
This document serves as an information and instruction guide on how to load the Five9
application on a Vista platform.
Requirements
For users upgrading from an XP or Win2K platform to Vista, Vista requires that the PC must
have a minimum of 512mb of RAM (Random Access Memory) and at least 1.0 GHz
processing speed for proper operation. Five9 recommends that Vista platforms should have
at least 1.0 Giga byte of RAM and 1.6 GHz processor for optimum performance. Five9 users
with integrated applications are encouraged to have at least these requirements.
The Five9 application requires a Java J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.5 (5.0)
and above to operate. If no JRE is present on the Vista PC, the Five9 application will fail to
