This document applies to the RF600VPN, the RF660VPN, and RF760VPN. All references to RouteFinder apply to all
three RouteFinders.
This information in this document is to be used if the RouteFinder hard disk drive should fail.
The RouteFinder ship kits include a Software Recovery CD that can be used to restore your RouteFinder’s hard disk
drive to its factory defaults. The Software Recovery CD is a bootable CD with a bootloader that goes to each hard
disk drive partition and automatically loads.
Caution
This CD should be used only in a CD-ROM attached to your RouteFinder
VPN. The hard disk drive recovery procedure will erase data from and completely
repartition the RouteFinder VPN hard drives. All VPN hard disk drive data will be
lost (all Logfile data, Updates, etc. will be overwritten) and factory defaults will be
restored. As a precaution, the system CD will ask before formatting the hard drive.
