ELIGIBILITY:
.. Malignant mesothelioma of the pleura
.. ECOG performance status 0, 1 or 2
.. ? 75 years old
.. A “Class II Drug Registration Form” must be submitted at the time of initiation of treatment. For other indications or treatment beyond 6 cycles, a BCCA “Individual Use of Benefit Drug List Medication for an Undesignated Indication” form must be approved.
EXCLUSIONS:

PREMEDICATIONS:

.. Vitamin supplementation mandatory starting at least 7 days prior to the first cycle, and to continue while on treatment:

.. Vitamin B12 1000 ?g IM every 9 weeks
.. Prophylaxis for skin rash, Dexamethasone 4 mg PO BID for 3 days beginning the day before chemotherapy.
