SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP TO
SERVE BLIND STUDENTS

Last spring, officials from the Commodore Perry
School District in Hadley, PA met with representatives
from Keystone Blind Association to map out a strategy
to provide a meaningful educational experience for
a blind student from Commodore Perry School who
participates in the Keystone Kids program here at KBA.
Josh Calvin started his Junior year a couple
of weeks ago at Commodore Perry; as part of his
studies, Josh is serving as an intern at KBA. Similar to
attending Vo-tech, Josh will be attending classes at
school and interning here two days a week. Currently,
Josh is working on his assistive technology skills.
He will be doing rotations in Specialized Services,
Rehabilitation Teaching, Orientation & Mobility, Human
Resources, Food Service, Children’s Programs and
Administration. Josh is being graded for his…
