Introduction: The easiest way to scan images is using Adobe PhotoShop 5.0. Once inside Adobe
PhotoShop you can import scanned images with an intermediary program, DeskScan II, which accesses
the scanner. Once accessed and imported you can use PhotoShop to save and edit the image in your
preferred format. Scanning text is covered in a different tutorial.

Open
PhotoShop
Open Adobe PhotoShop 5.0:
?Click on the Start Menu.
?Select Programs.
?Select Multimedia Applications.
?Select Adobe PhotoShop 5.0.2.

Place your
picture in the
scanner
Lift the cover of the scanner and place your
image face down on the glass. It doesn’t
matter where you place the picture on the
scanning surface, only that is in contact with
the glass.

Open DeskScan
II in Adobe
PhotoShop 5.0.
With PhotoShop as the active window:
?Click on the File Menu.
?Select Import.
?Choose Select TWAIN_32 Source.
?Select DeskScan II 2.5.
?Click the Select button.
