Creating a New File

Choose File > New….

A New dialog box will open up with text boxes and drop-down menus. In most cases, the defaults will work fine.

Enter a name for the document in the “Name:” text box. This is the name the application will default to when the document is saved. If you leave the name of the document as “Untitled,” the system will prompt you for a name when you save.

Click “New.”
