Technology Session for Faculty and Staff
1. SHRS Learning Resource Center (4061 Forbes Tower)
a. Two multi-media stations available 8:30-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
i. Recommended Software: Adobe Illustrator (PowerPoint and
Publisher are options, but not preferred.)
ii. Printer/Plotter: “ITHP800″ (Detailed instructions are on page 15 of
this document)
1. Prints posters 24″ wide x any length
2. Full color capability
iii. Lamination can be done at Kinkos and charged on a “P-card”
2. Modern Reproductions, Inc. (412/488-7700)
For a 4′ x 8′ poster:
Color printing: $320
Lamination: $64
Total: $384 (as of August 11, 2005)
Pick up and delivery service offered
Payment: Cash or University of Pittsburgh Purchase Order
Turn around time: 1 day
3. Pitt Copy Cat- University Copy Centers (412/624-0552)
For a 4′ x 8′ poster:
Color printing: $10/square foot
Payment: University of Pittsburgh Purchase Order
Turn around time: 2 days (at least)
