Below are a few of the Illustrator tools that we will be using in this workshop.
Selection Tool
The Selection (V) tool lets you select entire objects or an entire path by selecting any spot on
the path.
1.) To select an entire object or line do one of the following:
?If the object is fi lled and you are in Preview view, click within the object.
?Click the path of the object.
?Click an anchor point of the object
?Drag a marquee, around part or all of the object.
2.) To select an object that is hidden behind another object:
?Position the selection tool over the top object at a point directly above the object
you want to select.
?Without moving the selection tool, right-click (Windows) Control-click (Mac) to
open the context-sensitive menu and choose either: Next Object Below, Last
Object Below, Next Object Above, or First Object Above.
3.) To add or remove selections, hold down Shift while selecting or deselecting
additional objects or segments.
