Introduction
Adobe Acrobat is a program that converts documents produced with Microsoft Office to
a format that will display nicely and neatly on the web. Acrobat produces documents that
are of the type Portable Document Format (PDF). One advantage of converting MS
Office documents to PDF format is that the original formatting contained in the Office
document is conserved and intact. This may be especially important for scientists,
engineers and mathematicians since equations produced with Microsoft Word are
displayed in the PDF document just as they were in the original Word document.
