How to boot the live CD
The minimum requirements your computer will need is:
1) A CD-ROM drive (OR a CD-RW, DVD-ROM, DVD+/-RW or any other kind of drive that can read from a
CD) to boot your CD from
2) A graphics card and monitor that is capable of displaying a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 in 16bit colour (This is
pretty standard).
3) A minimum of 256MB of RAM is required although 512MB of RAM will make sure that the system runs a bit
smoother.
4) An i586 compatible processor, this includes. AMD-K6, Duron, Athlon, Sempron, Athlon-64, Pentium I, Pentium
II, Pentium III, Pentium IV and Celeron running at a minimum of 600MHz.
5) To install ValEnt Linux on your computer you will also require a minimum of 5GB hard drive space, this is not
required if you only want to use ValEnt…
