There is one task all editors face on every project:
trimming away useless footage so they can combine
the best parts of their shots into great sequences.
Trimming is a breeze with Adobe?Premiere?Pro 2.0,
and it can be done in several ways. You can trim clips
using either the controls in the Source Monitor or the
trimming tools in timelines. This tutorial explores
trimming clips in timelines.
The files used in this tutorial are on Disc 2 of the
Total Training Video Workshop included with
Adobe Premiere Pro. Depending on the television
standard for your region, copy either the NTSC or
PAL folder from the Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 folder to
your desktop. Alternatively, you can follow along using
your own files. You’ll need to start an Adobe Premiere
Pro project, having three video clips ready for import.
