Configuring Windows Mail in Windows Vista to connect to the MSB GroupWise Servers
The Windows Mail program is the default email client installed with Windows Vista. It can be used to connect to our
servers if you do not wish to install GroupWise or another email client, such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla
Thunderbird. Much like those two programs, you will be able to connect to the servers and download messages onto
your computer’s hard drive. However, you will be missing some of the functionality that the full GroupWise client
includes, so keep that in mind.
Configuration instructions:
If this is your first time using the program, when you open it, it will automatically take you into the new account
creation wizard. If that is the case, please skip to step 3 below. Otherwise, please follow the directions starting at
step 1, which assumes that you have the program open to the default screen.
1. Go to the Tools menu and click on Accounts.2
