Make your computer start up with certain applications or windows already open
Do you often start up the same application(s) at the beginning of each work day-and wish that
they would just open up automatically instead of having to do it each time? There’s an easy way
to configure Windows Start Up so that your computer starts up with certain applications already
running,-assuming that you close down at the end of each day, and start up the computer again
the next morning…
You simply need to put a short cut to each application/window you want to automatically start up
(I have both my day planner (Palm Desktop) and Windows Explorer-open to My Documents open
up each time I start the computer. You may want your e-mail, or web browser to open up
instead…) inside Windows “Start Up” directory.
To do this:
1) Make a short cut of each application you want to have open each morning (Eudora?, your web
browser, MS Word etc);
2) Put the shortcuts on the desktop for now;
