I. Backup your data
II. Set the Administrator Account Password and Disable the Guest Account
III. Apply Service Packs (Available on the CSU AVIS CD)
IV. Make sure the Windows Firewall is Turned On
V. Apply Critical Updates with Windows Update
VI. Install and Keep Up to Date Antivirus Software
VII. Install and Keep Up to Date AntiSpyware Software
VIII. Automate your PC to notify you when updates are available.
