ArcSoft Software tutorial for VideoLabs USB Products on Mac OS 8.6-9.2
Please note: Video Impression 1.6 on the VideoLabs CD is a special version that differs from
the standard version of ArcSoft Video Impression 1.6. PhotoStudio captures still images
from a video capture window, not from TWAIN drivers. This document refers to specific
VideoLabs hardware and configuration settings. Please reference the ArcSoft tutorial
information at www.arcsoft.com for further instructions on still-image or video capture.
Getting Help For ArcSoft VideoImpression 1.6
To get help on VideoImpression,
click the ‘?’ in the upper right-hand
corner of the initial splash screen.
Capturing Video in Video Impression
From the initial splash screen, click ‘New.’
This will bring up a second menu.
The VideoLabs products do not have
TWAIN drivers for MacOS, so the
“Acquire” option will not work with
VideoLabs USB products.
To capture video, click ‘capture.’
(Skip to ‘Selecting the Correct Video
Source and Format’ if the video does not
appear, or if it does not appear correctly).
Capturing Images with PhotoStudio
From the ‘File’ menu, choose video
Capture.’
