The 2005/2006 Sacramento Area Gardening Guide and Calendar

Master Gardeners is now available.
This 15-month calendar, from October 2005
through December 2006, is designed
specifically for Sacramento area gardeners.
This year’s Gardening Guide features “A
Year of Flowers”– growing flowers and
foliage plants to enjoy inside the home. In
addition to planting and watering suggestions,
it includes valuable tips for cutting and
conditioning flowers, drying flowers, and
forcing branches and bulbs to bloom in
winter. Also included are vegetable seed,
flower seed and bulb planting schedules for
the Sacramento area. This edition of the Gardening Guide provides four more pages of
gardening information than in previous years, and the price remains the same!

about a flower in bloom during the
monthNew this year are full color note cards featuring original
watercolor illustrations that appear in the Gardening Guide.
The flower illustrations were created by artist and UC Master
Gardener Diana Blasingame and are printed on embossed
panel note cards. Each package of cards contains ten different
designs with envelopes, and makes a lovely gift, especially for
a gardening friend or relative!
Also available is the Gardening Gift Pack. Included in a 3-ring binder with a cover insert
and tied with a raffia bow are:

?130+ pages of UC Pest Notes containing information about insect pests, weeds and
diseases
?Pest management information cards in plastic sleeves
?A note pad, pencil, magnet, and bookmark
