This 2007 Garden Guide, an update of a feature that was initiated last year, contains all gardens that subscribe to the
Reciprocal Admissions Program (RAP) - indicated with an asterisk * - and brief entries for many significant rose gardens,
plus, for the first time, a limited number of nursery gardens that are open to the public. RAP gardens are listed because, in most
cases, all you need do is show your ARS membership card to gain free or reduced-cost admission. “Free w/ARS card” is your
ticket to enjoying these gardens! Be forewarned, however, that family members will as a general rule need to pay unless they
have joined ARS as Associate Members ($13) or as a Youth Member ($10) - a new ARS membership category - and,
therefore, have their own membership card. When you are planning excursions, phone ahead to confirm card benefits -
especially for estate gardens privileges may be limited.
