CISCO VPN Client 4.6.x Installation Guide
Ensure all software (especially all client software such as instant messaging programs,
filesharing programs such as limewire etc) are not running before you attempt to install the
VPN client. If you have a previous version of the Cisco VPN client it must be uninstalled
before the new client can be installed. If you do not do this manually it will be done for you
when you run the setup program but will require that you reboot your system.
Browse the CD contents and launch the file vpnclient_setup.exe by double clicking it.
The Windows Installer will begin to guide you through the installation process.
click Next
Accept the License Agreement and click Next
Choose the installation directory.PLEASE NOTE: It has been noticed that in this version of the Cisco VPN client the
install process may appear to hang - the install progress bar/estimate is grossly
optimistic about the time left in the installation. Please give it an additional 3-5
minutes.
Software will install until you reach the following prompt:
click Finish
You must now restart your computer to complete the VPN installation….
