Nokia finds new ways for reducing the energy waste
Nokia gets more and more concerned when it comes to energy saving. Taking this into
consideration, the company has developed strategies that will considerably reduce the
energy wasted by the mobile phones that are left to charge more than necessary.
Forgetting to unplug their cell phones left to charge is a quite frequent and understandable
habit among users. Still, the energy that is wasted this way could actually be used to
provide enough power for 85,000 homes during an entire year. Nokia seems to consider it a
shame to have all this energy loss for no reason whatsoever.
For these reasons, Nokia has introduced a special alerting system in its new Nokia 1200,
Nokia 1208 and Nokia 1650 phones that have been recently released. The system works
quite easy and it is hoped to prove its efficiency. Every time the phone’s battery has
charged, an alert announces the user and therefore he immediately has to unplug the
phone.
