PAINTINGS FROM RAJASTHAN AND CENTRAL INDIA
(5001-5100)
The special work for this set, which involved
photographing paintings in the Kanoria Collection, in
Patna, in multiple originals, was made possible by a
grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities
and by the support of the Center for South and
Souteast Asian Studies and of the Department of the
History of Art of the University of Michigan. Special
thanks are due Shri Gopi Krishna Kanoria and Shri
Vinod Krishna Kanoria, along with their family, and to
Dr. Anand Krishna for their invaluable assistance, and
to Mr. Patrick Young of the University of Michigan for
working out the complex technical procedures for the
photography. The photography team comprised Dr.
Walter Spink, Dr. Suresh Vasant, Ms. Wendy Holden, Mr.
