Overview
CaptureLink for AutoCAD provides interchange functionality between AutoCAD and Hummingbird
DM (CyberDOCS and PowerDOCS).
Attributes on a Hummingbird DM profile may be extracted, and inserted into an AutoCAD block,
attributes or extended data. Similarly, the profile may be updated from the AutoCAD data.
The contents of the AutoCAD drawing can be extracted and attached to the document in Hummingbird
DM. These contents are searchable, so drawings may be found depending on their content.
Hummingbird DM documents may be inserted as XREFS into AutoCAD drawings. When a user comes
to edit a drawing, these documents will automatically be extracted from Hummingbird DM, and loaded
into AutoCAD.
Configuring CaptureLink for AutoCAD
Use Start/Programs/CaptureLink for AutoCAD/CaptureLink Configuration to configure CaptureLink
for AutoCAD.
Check ‘Update Drawing with Profile Values on Load’ to ensure that the AutoCAD titleblock/attributes
contains the latest profile data. If this is checked, whenever a Hummingbird DM document is loaded in
AutoCAD, the titleblock/attributes will be set to the values on the profile.
Check ‘Update Profile with Drawing Attributes on Save’ to set attributes on the Hummingbird DM
profile to be…
