This document explains how to ensure that files created with AutoCAD 2000 print correctly from Apprentice and
Repro Desk. It covers these key areas:
n Installing and configuring the appropriate driver
n Mapping virtual pens
n Setting the printable area of the paper
?Installing and Configuring the HPGL/2 Driver
We recommend using the Hewlett-Packard DesignJet 755CM C3198A driver with AutoCAD. Follow these steps
if it is not already installed:
1. In the File menu, click Plotter Manager. The Plotters directory window appears:
2. Double-click Add a Plotter Wizard. The Introduction Page appears.
3. Click Next. The Begin page appears:2
4. Click My Computer, then click Next. The Plotter Model page appears:
5. In the Manufacturers list, click Hewlett-Packard. In the Models list, click DesignJet 755CM C3198A.
6. Click Next. The Driver Information message appears:
Note: Apprentice does not support the HPGL/2 RTL DesignJet Windows System Printer drivers described in this
message. The drivers embed unrecognized commands into .plt files and cause Apprentice to process incorrectly….
