Samsung F200 Music Phone Unveiled
During the CeBIT 2007 show in Hanover
Most people will most likely remember the X830 music phone by Samsung mainly because it manages to
bring an innovative design while to a certain extent looking similar to the iPod.
Now that the phone has been released for a while, Samsung thought it appropriate to release an upgrade,
the F200 music phone that sports a similar form factor and looks just as good or better than the X830.
While there are differences in design, those are by far less important than the differences between the
features. Compared to the X830 that comes with 1GB internal memory (since it’s a music phone, the
manufacturer might as well provide enough storage space for the user to fit some files on), the F200 comes
with only 5MB internal memory.
So users that are considering getting this one will only be able to store their music on a MicroSD memory
card, since the phone’s built-in memory barely provides enough for 1, maybe 2 MP3’s. The iPod-like click
wheel one could find on the X830 has also been replaced…
