Slim design, balanced features
Samsung has been battling Motorola over the years for the number 2 spot on mobile
phones sales and 2007 will be known as the year of victory for the Asian company. While
the first place in handsets sales has been for long entitled to Nokia with no chance of being
replaced, there has always been a fight for the second place. Samsung’s invasion of
low-cost and moderately priced mobiles decisively overtook Motorola’s sales, thus making it
the number 2 mobile manufacturer in the world. Even in North America - where Motorola
still has the upper hand - Samsung started to compete with it by offering a whole range of
CDMA handsets, exactly the field where Motorola almost doesn’t exist. Samsung
SGH-E200 is a moderately-priced handset that surely contributed to the above
achievement.
Announced in the Q1 2007, Samsung SGH-E200 has been made available on the market
in April 2007 for a medium price of 170 - 200 Euros, depending on location.
