The device comes with an integrated Touch UI interface.
I’m sure everyone loves the devices that come with something different, devices that love to
show-off the crazy ideas implemented within them. The Samsung SGH-E890 cell phone is
one of those bizarre contraptions that will leave you hanging around a display booth
wondering: “If this is not a slider phone than why doesn’t it have a keypad of some sort?
Where have they hidden it? How is one able to write anything on it?”.
Well, the mystery is pretty easy to solve if you continue to read the spec sheet and stumble
upon the line that says the phone has a 2.3 inch 256k colors TFT touchscreen, working at
a resolution of 240×320 and having handwriting recognition capabilities. This way, Samsung
came up with a device that does more than just look great, from my point of view, with an
original touch on the usability side by having an implemented Touch UI combining a
high-quality TFT display and a keypad, thus providing its users with a new level of
communication comfort.
