Motorola might just be on a big comeback with the future release of its ROKR E8 mobile
phone. The device looks highly futuristic and tries out one more alternative to the classic
keypad, as buttons have now become so yesterday’s news.
Motorola ROKR E8 looks like the hottest thing to head towards the mobile phone market
and this due to a pretty interesting technology that combines colored leds with touch
feedback. The design is also pretty out of the ordinary, with impressive color combinations
and player design on the navigation keypad. The 2 inches screen is smaller than those
seen with other mobile phones, but should be everything needed for using the phone’s
music rendering functions at full potential.
The flat, touch-sensitive keypad offers no tactile feedback while the phone is in standby
mode. Still, when in use, a haptic response is generated each time the user presses one
button. There is a small hole to guide actions and make sure that no accidental pressing
takes place.
