Motorola ROKR E1, a Dissapointment?
iPod is a champion
The ROKR E1 Motorola phone hasn’t stirred up too much enthusiasm. The majority of
criticisms are related to the fact that the new iTunes compatible phone can only store 100
songs, which is regarded as a small capacity.
Other analysts notice that despite the fact that the device is advanced from the
technological point of view, the consumers might not rush into buying the Motorola ROKR
E1, because its price is close to iPod nano’s.
From what can be seen in the images and presentations that have appeared on the
Internet, Motorola ROKR E1 is designed by the cell phone company, Apple being
responsible only for the software’s integration.
Analysts, such as Michael Gartenberg from Jupiter Research, also consider that aside from
the iTunes fans, the Motorola ROKR E1 won’t be very successful. Another reproach brought
to the phone is that it doesn’t have the same navigation system as the iPod.
When it comes to iPod nano, things are completely different. Everybody who participated at
the launch or had the opportunity to test an iPod nano, has had only favorable comments….
