Phillip Pullman’s trilogy ‘His dark Materials’.
London - Oscar winning actress Nicole Kidman has signed on to star in a film version of author
Phillip Pullman’s trilogy ‘His dark Materials’.
According to ananova.com, Kidman is set to play the glamorous villain Mrs. Coulter in the first
installment called ‘The Golden Compass’.
Chris Weitz will direct the film and shooting will start in September. The lead role of Lyra Belacqua
will be played by British newcomer Dakota Blue Richards in the story revolving around a character
travelling to a parallel universe to fight forces of evil and save her best friend.
