Step 1. The diagram above is the Mac OS X CD. You must install X11 on your Mac before
installing OpenOffice. Look in the Mac OS X CD. If you do not see “Applications -> Utilities-
> X11″ then you do not have X11 installed, otherwise skip to step 4. To install X11 locate
and insert your Panther CD disc 2 or Tiger DVD and double click on the “Optional Installs”
package on the install medium. Note that it is best to install X11 from the OS CD that came
with your Mac, especially if you have an Intel-based Mac.
Step 2. Click continue on the various screens until you reach the following and check the X11package under the Applications group, and then click Upgrade.
Step 3. Enter your password to authenticate the installation and click OK. After a few moments
the X11 install will be complete!…
