CAUTION: Before exploring a vehicle’s performance potential,
the driver must be familiar with its controls, characteristics
and potential. The tires, brakes, transmission and engine
must be up to optimum operating temperature. Ground
clearance is extremely limited. Utilize extra care when
maneuvering curb cuts, driveway entries and inclines, which
easily pose damage. Many gas stations are inaccessible.
Note that angled entry can help avoid spoiler damage.
To start the Ferrari F430, insert the key into the ignition on
the right side of the steering column. Turn the key to the “On”
position and depress the starter button on the steering wheel.
The F430 utilizes a uniquely tuned steering system, which
provides a signifi cantly lighter feel than previous Ferraris.
This makes the F430 an easier vehicle to maneuver in urban
and conventional settings. This also makes the steering much
quicker than previous models. This increased sensitivity
makes the F430 vulnerable to overly aggressive steering
input and can easily lead to loss of control, possible
damage and injury. Conservative application of steering
input is recommended.
