The Subaru Impreza WRX has enjoyed
immense popularity since its release in 1994.
The WRX is a real pocket rocketship that
delivers impressive performance from a
turbocharged 2.0 litre engine and excellent
handling assisted by Subaru’s all wheel drive
technology.
Following on from the success of the
standard WRX, Subaru has introduced a high
performance version of the model known as
the WRX STi. Up until now, the STi has only
been available in Australia in very limited
numbers. The first batch of STi’s available
were two door versions, of which only 400
examples were available. Later variants of the
STi have been four door sedans. The new
WRX STi is still available in limited numbers
only, but importantly, it is now a permanent
part of the Subaru range of vehicles.
