Sony Ericsson W380, the Stylish Sound of Music
Affordable music phone
Sony Ericsson W380 brings a more affordable solution to what music phones coming from
this producer really mean. A lower price also triggers less performances, which might
disappoint the more demanding users.
The Walkman phone has some easy access controls on the top for managing the playlist
even when the handset is in the pocket. The phone also includes a feature that Sony
Ericsson seems to have grown quite fond of using with its music devices. The Gesture
Control technology turns calls mute or silences the alarm only with the wave of a hand.
The major drawback with the W380 device seems to be that it does not include 3G
connectivity in its offer. This means that its users might hate to see that they have to resort
to the classic solution of EFGE and GPRS to download files, including songs which might
be quite large sometimes.
The TackID feature tags a clip from the phone’s radio, or any external source, in order to
then find out who sings it, its name and the album…
