The FCC Approves Sony Ericsson’s K818
A handset that will be sold outside of Europe
The Cybershot line is one of Sony Ericsson’s two important product lines, with the help of which the
company has been attracting quite a few young customers in the past period of time. Recently, Sony
Ericsson has released the K810 to be an upgrade and eventually a replacement of the K800 on the market.
The differences between the two phones are actually very small and the only improvements that have been
made regard the handset’s camera.
K818 on the other hand, brings even less differences compared to the K810, since it is only a version of the
mobile phone that will be made available for areas outside of Europe. The FCC has also been kind enough to
approve as well as leak some photos of the handset recently.
For Sony Ericsson’s usual customers, the design of the K818/K810 is rather weird. While somewhat similar
in looks to the K800, it also features some newly-designed keys that set it apart from every handset Sony
Ericsson (as well as other manufacturers) have ever done before….
