HTC has just gone over the 1 million borderline in its HTC Touch phone sales at the end of
October. The producer has high expectations for this handset from now on as well,
especially now that it comes in several versions to increase diversity.
HTC Touch has been seen at its release as the device most worthy of the “iPhone killer”
status. Since then, other evolved handsets have come out on the market, packed with
higher performances and even greater potential. Still, the iPhone managed to cross its 1
million sold units line only 74 days after its release, while it took HTC Touch almost five
months since it hit the market. The difference is great, but the iPhone is a special case, as it
managed to reach one of the highest popularity rates in the history of mobile phones.
Now that HTC Touch managed to reach highly impressive sales, the producer plans to
target its efforts on future releases. HTC is already in talks with Google as part of the Open
