To Do This
Set up Internet Explorer
7.0 on your computer to
work with NIS.
NIS is not compatible with Microsoft Office 2007 or Windows Vista
Before making any changes to your work computer check with your local IT individuals.
Steps
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on Tools on the right hand side of the screen, and select Internet Options.
3. Select the Privacy tab, and then click on the Sites button.
4. Type ne.gov in the Address of website field and click on Allow. Then click OK.
5. Select the Privacy tab, and make sure the Turn on Pop-up Blocker box is not checked.
Click Apply.
6. Select the Security tab, and click on the Custom level button.
7. Scroll to Downloads, and select Enable button for Automatic prompting for file
downloads and for File downloads.
8. Scroll to Scripting, and select Enable on Active scripting and for Scripting of Java
applets. Then click OK.
9. Select the General tab, and click on the Settings button under Browsing history.
