Internet Explorer 7.0 Standard Installation and Features
USING IE7 FOR THE FIRST TIME:
1. When IE7 is opened for the first time you will be directed to a page to customize your settings
a. Required Settings: Please choose your default search provider - check Keep my current search provider
b. Optional Settings: Check Turn on automatic Phishing Filter (Recommended)
i. If popup blocking is turned off, this will come up as a popup when IE is opened for the first time.
c. Scroll to the bottom and click the Save settings button
d. The next windows will say Settings saved successfully. Click Go to your home page
e. The Menu Bar that was displayed in earlier versions of Internet Explorer is turned off in Internet Explorer 7, but you can turn them back on.
i. To display the menus temporarily:
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Press ALT
3. Press ALT again will make it disapear
ii. To display the menus permanently:
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Click the Tools button and then select Menu Bar
f. IE7 is now ready to use
