Installing Mozilla Firefox on Mac OS X
NOTE: The current version at the time of this draft is 2.0 which requires OS X version 10.2.8 or newer. To check your version of OS X, click on the Apple menu in the upper-left corner of the screen and select About This Mac. The version will be displayed in the window that opens. ?
Installing Firefox
1. Go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ and click on the Download Firefox link. DO NOT use Internet Explorer since it does not download the file properly. Use Netscape or Safari.
a. If the downloaded file doesn’t open automatically, go to the download location and double click the Firefox 2.0.0.x.dmg file to open it.
b. A license agreement will appear. Click Accept.
2. Copy Firefox to the Applications folder.
a. Open the Firefox volume on the desktop if not already open. ?
b. Drag the Firefox application from the volume to the Applications folder (Macintosh HD/Applications.)
