You’ve heard about i-mate’s JAQ4 handheld before and you’ve already seen it. But, on
December 7th 2006 when it showed up on the web, you weren’t seeing its true face
because as it shows those where just some imaginative renderings of what somebody
thought the device would look like.
Now i-mate has officially unveiled the newest addition to its JAQ line-up, a device a little
shorter and just a little wider than the JAQ3 but I’m not complaining about that because they
made use of that extra space by adding a bigger 2.8 inch 65k colors QVGA TFT
touchscreen, a nice upgrade from the 2.4 inch one available on the JAQ3.
The quad-band GSM handheld features GPRS and EDGE connectivity and Wi-Fi 802.11
b/g WLAN, wireless Bluetooth with stereo A2DP profile, 128MB of ROM and 64 MB of RAM
memory, infrared, e-mail, Java, GPS capabilities, a 2 megapixel digital camera with video
capture abilities and macro mode, a miniSD memory expansion card slot and a Windows
Mobile 6 Professional operating system.
