The JAQ 3 Soon on the American Market
The affordable handheld features a QWERTY keyboard
The JAQ3 was officially announced some time ago and also started shipping in the Middle
East. Soon, people from the US will also be able to get themselves a JAQ 3, because the
handheld is now heading to stores in America, according to I-mate’s announcement at the
Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The I-Mate JAQ 3 sports the usual QWERTY keyboard that will allow users to compose
e-mails, write documents or messages faster and easier than before, 128 MB ROM , 64MB
RAM, WiFi and Bluetooth with A2DP support for connectivity and a 2.4 inch touchscreen
LCD.
Other than that, the quad-band GSM phone provides a MicroSD card slot for memory
expansion and runs on Windows Mobile 5.0, including, of course, all the usual software like
Word, Excel, Windows Media Player and MSN Messenger.
The handheld seems to be optimized for messaging, so if the QWERTY keypad doesn’t
