The handheld will have a touchscreen display that flips and pivots.
i-mate has given up its collaboration with HTC and they are developing the JSAJAR
successor, the K-JAR, with the help of the Chinese manufacturer TechFaith.
Its most obvious and most interesting feature is the big 2.8 inch QVGA resolution
touchscreen display that can flip, flop and pivot until the user is satisfied with the viewing
angle.
The handset also features a Texas Instruments OMAP750 processor which runs a
Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system, helped by 65 MB of RAM and 128 ROM.
Unfortunately, the device will only have support for GSM, GPRS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth so
you can say goodbye to the EDGE or 3G that its JASJAR predecessor came with if you get
yourself this baby.
Until now, there are no information regarding the store price of the K-JAR, its release date
or where it will be launched, but I’ll keep you posted if anything new comes up.
