This document explains how to use your i-mate. JASJAM as a GPRS/UMTS (Packet Data) Modem using the 2G/3G mobile phone network via USB cable. Screenshots were taken from a Windows XP (SP2) device. When the JASJAM is actively being used as a modem and the device is on the GSM/GPRS (G icon) it is not possible to make or receive voice/video calls. Voice calls will be possible while the device is connected to a 3G network (U icon).
Summary of process -
Installation is a eight step process that only needs to be done once. Once this is completed simply activate the wireless modem and plug into PC and the PC will recognize that you have attached the wireless modem and will configure accordingly.
