ExpoDisc White and Warm Balance Filters
Nikon Custom WB Procedures
Nikon D70, D70s and D50
1. Install the ExpoDisc and set the camera to Manual Focus mode.
2. Allow the camera to set an automatic exposure using the “P”, “S” or “A”
modes, or set the correct manual exposure in “M” mode.
3. Press and hold the ‘WB’ button with left thumb while turning right thumb wheel
to select ‘Pre’ in the control panel, then release the ‘WB’ button.
4. Press and hold the ‘WB’ button again until ‘Pre’ begins to blink in the control
panel.
5. While ‘Pre’ is blinking (10 seconds), aim the camera in the appropriate
direction for the given lighting condition and press the shutter release button. See
the ExpoDisc Instruction manual for more information on where to aim the
camera.
6. ‘Good’ will replace ‘Pre’ in the control to indicate a successful white balance
reading.
7. If ‘no good’ appears, then repeat steps 5 and 6 until you see ‘good’…
