Orientation Guidelines for the
Olympus D-200 L Digital Still
Camera
Students must demonstrate proficiency in the following before being able to check-out the
Olympus D-200 L Digital Still Camera: (Note: All Media Lab Golden Rules apply.)
· loading and unloading batteries
· identify battery icon on control panel display
· how to check the remaining number of pictures
· how to compose pictures using the optical viewfinder and using the LCD
monitor
· how to select resolution:
1. HQ (High Quality mode) is indicated on the control panel.
-640 X 480 pixels
-20 High Quality pictures may be taken at one time.
2. SQ (Standard Quality mode)
-320 X 240 pixels
-80 Standard Quality pictures may be taken at one time.
-There is no control panel indicator for Standard Quality mode.

1. Auto-Flash mode (no icon)
-automatically fires in low-light and back light conditions
2. Red Eye Reducing Flash mode (eyeball icon)
