When using your laptop, by using good power management, you increase productivity. Also, laptop batteries come with a 1 year warranty. IS&S is not able to replace the battery if the warranty has expired. You would be responsible for replacing the battery after that time. You may do so at www.dell.com. Battery - Removable. The life of a fully charged battery is approximately 3 1/2 hours. The older the battery is, the less time it will last when powering the laptop. o Use battery-bay latch on bottom of the laptop to insert or remove battery from the battery bay. Insert or remove battery while the laptop is powered off. The battery can be swapped with a backup battery (not included). o Two full charge and discharge cycles should be completed on a new battery. This will maintain a longer battery life. o Do not carry a battery pack in your pocket, purse, or other container where metal objects (such as car keys) could short-circuit the battery terminals.

Software is the key component of your laptop. It is a good idea to understand not only what a software program does, but also how it affects your computer. Some software may look nice, and do nice things, but can harm your system.
