I have found that the best way to make as much profit as possible is to start the auction at 99 cents. This is because, the lower the price is, the more people will watch your item, thus more potential buyers. I have used ‘buy it now’ and even made the price at a $30-$40 price mark-up, however this does not work no where near as good as the 99 cent trick. If you’re scared that your item might sell for too low, get a friend to place a bid or two. YOU should never bid on your own item, or make another eBay account and bid on your own item, as you will get caught, and maybe even banned.
