Although your camera is equipped with highly precise AF system, in some cases autofocus cannot set correctly.
- Low-contrast subjects, such as blue sky or blank wall, etc. or when the color of the subject is same as background.
- The subject is located in a very low light environment
- Overlapping near and far objects, such as an animal behind a fence
- A subject, which moves with a high speed
- Subjects, which have repeated patterns such as building windows.

SINGLE AF MODE
Depress and hold the shutter button “Half-way” to activate the autofocus function. In order to avoid out of focus exposures, the shutter cannot be released until the subject is in focus. This is called “focus priority”. Focus indicator appears in the viewfinder, when the camera focuses on the subject and the focus is locked. Press the shutter button the rest of the way to take the picture. If the camera cannot focus on the subject properly, remove your finger from the shutter button and press again.
