Adventus Router Setup Instructions

All of the below steps have been completed for you, if we have set up the lab. These setup instructions MUST be completed from your designated server machine (one server for each router) where the Dongle or the ‘USB LAN System Key is plugged in. (Ex: ‘musiqclubA’)

On each Laptop make sure the wireless is turned on for each laptop by default they are on, they need to stay on before any program is started (Blue Lighted button by the power button)
• Open an Internet Browser Window and type in the address ‘http://192.168.0.1/ once connected it will ask you for a username and password (user: ‘Admin’, password leave blank) which will bring you to the router setup interface.
• Optional - Once in setup, on the left hand side make sure your under Wireless Settings, Setup -> change the Network Name to ‘musiqclub’ or ‘musiqclub1′, ‘musiqclub2′ and so on, if you’ll be running multiple musiqclub labs this will reduce confusion between them. Again, Labeling each router appropriately to remember which lab it’s associated with is recommended. Save the setting and the router should restart, log back in once completed.
• IMPORTANT: On the left hand side, click on Network Settings and under Setup, you will need to change the router IP address to 192.168.1.1, save this setting and let it restart, you will then need to reconnect to the router by entering ‘http://192.168.1.1/’. Now you will need to add and Enable a ‘DHCP Reservation’. This will be for the server computer (see: ‘Adventus Computer Lab Settings’) First copy the MAC Address (Ex: xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx) after the screen refreshes scroll down and, enable this function and enter the computer name (Ex: musiqclubA) and the IP address (We normally reserve the address: 192.168.1.152 for the server computer) save the setting, the router should restart and you will not need to log back in.
