Short Description
The following instructions show how to configure a Linksys Wireless Router model WRT54G.
Section I (Connecting Your Computer To Your Router) Plug the small end of the router power cord (regulator) into the port labeled “Power” on the router and then plug the other end (transformer) into a 120VAC outlet.

Using the Ethernet cable RJ-45 (green label), provided by Big Bend Telecom, connect your computer to a “LAN” port on the router.
Section II (Accessing Your Router)
Open up your Web Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox etc…). Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar and then click on “Go.”
Once you have clicked on “Go”, a login window will pop up and ask you for a “User name” and “Password.” Leave the “User name” blank and type admin as the “Password” (this password is case sensitive so you must use all lower case letters). Next, click on “OK.”
Note: If you do not get the following login window asking for “User name” and “Password” or you are not able to login, go to Section A (Troubleshooting Router Access).
