The E-400 is a European market model only, with an ultrasmall, slim conventional SLR style body very different from the 300 series brick or the heavy professional lines of the E-1. It packs 10 megapixels on to the small Four Thirds system sensor, and has more amateurfriendly features, as well as a surprising level of fine tuning adjustments for many parameters, and a big 2.5ins rear screen. You can edit Raw images on screen with cropping and red-eye reduction. Its top shutter speed is 1/4000sec, and it has slots for CF and XD cards. However, sequence shooting is just 10 Jpegs or five Raw frames at three frames per second because of the larger file size. ISO range, even Auto ISO, is 100 to 1600.
